Where are Yupoong and Flexfit hats made?

Bangladesh and Vietnam, in seven to eight wholly-owned factories — stated by the brand itself, and corroborated by PUMA's and Everlane's supplier disclosures. Yupoong is the strongest evidence in the industry that Bangladesh is a tier-one headwear country, not a fallback.

The facts

Yupoong (Seoul, founded 1974) is the world’s largest cap manufacturer by volume — roughly 120 million pieces a year, with around 10,000 factory workers overseas against about 300 in Korea. Unusually for this industry, it owns its plants outright: Flexfit’s own site describes certified factories in Bangladesh and Vietnam, and PUMA’s published factory list independently names Yupoong Inc. as the parent company of its Vietnam facilities — third-party confirmation of genuine vertical integration rather than agent sourcing.

The chronology matters. Yupoong opened its first Bangladesh plant in 2000 — before the garment boom, decades before the tariff cycle — and now markets that plant’s BSCI, WRAP, SEDEX and ISO certification stack on its own website. When the biggest cap maker on earth chose Bangladesh a quarter-century ago and stayed, “Made in Bangladesh” stopped being a cost story and became a capability story.

What it means for you

Yupoong proved the country. We offer the same country, direct, from 144 pieces sublimated — without the licence premium sitting on top of it.

Core Yupoong blanks run $6–8; Flexfit-tech styles $8.70–$9.75; knits around $4.

The part nobody notices

Customs and registry records connect Yupoong-affiliated factories to Richardson's supply base, and Flexfit LLC is the top US importer from several Bangladeshi factories that also supply Pacific Headwear and Augusta. Much of the competitive set is one supply base wearing different labels.
