Where are Richardson hats made?
Primarily Bangladesh, with China and Vietnam alongside — according to US customs records. Richardson publishes no country of manufacture anywhere on its site. Here's the public record.
The facts
Richardson Sports (Springfield, Oregon; family-owned since 1970) states on its own site that it will not use Xinjiang cotton and that no finished goods will be produced in Xinjiang Province, China — the only origin-adjacent statement the company makes, and one that quietly presupposes production elsewhere in China. No country of manufacture appears on the 112’s product page, or on any distributor listing we checked.
US import filings are more forthcoming. They show Richardson’s largest supplier is Exsaco Ltd of Kashimpur, Gazipur, Bangladesh — roughly 37% of Richardson’s containerized shipments, with “woven caps” as the top product. Chinese suppliers and Vietnamese facilities fill out the record. The BGMEA trade registry lists Exsaco as a Gazipur woven-goods factory with 160,000-dozen annual capacity, and records a Yupoong contact address — suggesting Richardson’s flagship supplier is affiliated with its biggest competitor’s manufacturing group.

What it means for you
The construction quality you like in a 112-style cap comes from the country and the process, not the label. The flagship American trucker is already largely a Bangladesh product, bought through Oregon — we manufacture caps in the same countries, under your brand, from 144 pieces sublimated.
What changed in 2026
As of January, SanMar — the industry's largest distributor — carries 31 Richardson styles including the 112 Trucker. More distribution, same undisclosed origin.
One debunk
Listings for a “Richardson 112 Made in the USA Cap” refer to a decorated graphic on the cap, not a manufacturing claim. No evidence of US cap production by Richardson appears in the record.
The same cap, bought two ways.
