The story
Headwind started in Hong Kong in 1981 as a family trading house, sourcing for buyers who wanted someone on the ground who spoke the factories' language and theirs. The name on the door has stayed in the family ever since.
The business grew up alongside Chinese manufacturing — our origin market, and still the deepest supplier network of the three. As buyers' needs changed, we stopped brokering other people's capacity and built our own: operations in Vietnam and Bangladesh, our own people on those floors, our own QC walking the lines.
That is why origin is a choice on our purchase orders rather than a bet. Today the range runs from caps to folding chairs, and the promise is the one thing that has not moved in three generations: whatever you are making, we make it easy.
