Where are Imperial hats made?

Imperial's parent company's largest headwear supplier by container volume is a Bangladesh cap factory, and distributors describe Imperial product as made in Bangladesh; China is the long-running secondary source, and a small line of visors remains US-made. Imperial itself publishes no country of origin.

The facts

The arc is the cleanest in American headwear, every step documented. Founded in Denver in 1916. First adjustable golf cap in 1950. Sold to Paramount Apparel International in 2012. In March 2013 the Aurora, Colorado factory closed — about 120 jobs — and production moved under Paramount, as covered by local news at the time. The brand was sold again in 2021 to a Kansas City family office.

Today, US import filings show the parent’s top supplier is Unimas Sportswear of Gazipur, Bangladesh — 351 containers, at a factory shared with New Era, which buys nearly five times that volume from it — alongside a sewing group spanning China and Bangladesh, showing a China-to-Bangladesh capacity shift inside one supplier group. The only US-origin SKUs found anywhere are two visors.

What it means for you

A century-old American golf brand's caps come from the same Bangladesh cap cluster we manufacture in. For a resort or corporate programme, the country is available direct — the blank premium is structure, not origin.

Upper-mid — roughly $10–$25 blank, $30–$39 retail; clearly above Richardson and Otto tiers.

Wording note

The Bangladesh finding is made at parent-company level, from the parent's import records, with distributor statements corroborating. Imperial makes no brand-level disclosure to quote.
